If you are having trouble connecting to your CloudShare environment or experience, or your connection seems to be slow, you can run a connectivity test to help solve the problem.
- To run a test without logging in to the class, from any browser tab, click: https://use.cloudshare.com/test.mvc. An external Remote Access Tests dialog will open and automatically begin testing.
- To run a test directly from the CloudShare Viewer, on the the left side of the Viewer, from the Connectivity menu, select Connectivity Test. An internal Connectivity Test dialog will open and automatically begin testing.
To ensure that your CloudShare experience is productive and enjoyable, we recommend that you test your connection to our platform before your class, POC, or demo begins.
In most cases, connectivity will be fast and seamless when you use a modern web browser.
Connectivity Minimum Requirements
Prior to running any tests, a connecting device must meet the following minimum requirements:
- The browser must support WebSockets in order to connect to CloudShare environments and experiences.
- The minimum bandwidth in order to connect to a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session is 150 Kbps.
