CloudShare supports Bring Your Own Account (BYOA) capabilities when using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) public cloud infrastructure as an external cloud resource. Using your own account offers several benefits - including direct integration with your GCP, enhanced security and compliance, and increased cost efficiency.
Setup Process
Contact your CloudShare Account Manager if you need assistance enabling this setup process.
- Create the folder and the project in this folder. The folder and project will be the main part of the GCP BYOA infrastructure on the client organization side.
- Run the “Create User BYOA GCP” cloud step on the SST tool, and copy the created service account email.
- You will need the following IAM permissions for the previously copied service account email.
- Compute Admin
- Organization Administrators
- Owner
- Project Creator
- You will need the following IAM permissions for the CloudShare master service account email. (api-236@billable-cloudshare-sela.iam.gserviceaccount.com)
- Compute Admin
- Organization Administrators
- Owner
- Project Creator
- Project Deleter
- Service Account User
- Enable the GCP cloud in the CloudShare Project Details page.
- Add the Terraform script and test it.
