An environment is a single entity that combines computing resources, networking, operating systems, software, and memory state into a manageable and easy-to-use unit. An environment consists of one or more virtual machines (VMs) connected by one or more virtual networks. CloudShare environment units are the primary building block of any experience.
Each CloudShare environment contains and manages completely segregated components, providing maximum security and flexibility. In addition, its lifetime and limitations are governed by an assigned policy.
In this section, we will cover several ways to create CloudShare environments, including:
- From a blueprint. Create an environment based on an existing blueprint.
- Custom environment. Start with the basic Create Environment workflow, but manually select the resources - including CloudShare template VMs, imported and cloud folder VMs, existing VMs from blueprints, and SaaS template VMs.
- From a CloudShare template. Create an environment from one of CloudShare's pre-designed templates.
