CloudShare offers various ways to manage resources, including importing VMs and ISO files, storing files, transferring and sharing files, and controlling resource consumption.
CloudShare provides the ability to assign, monitor access, and measure utilization for all resources used, to enable complete control and accountability.
In this section, we will cover the different types of resources CloudShare provides:
- Policies. Decide how long a virtual environment will run, when it will be deleted, and what happens to it when it has been idle for a predetermined length of time
- Importing VMs. Import your existing VMs, so that you can use it as a baseline to create new environments.
- Importing ISO files. Import a prepared ISO file and connect to or boot from it, from any VM in your environment.
- Resources Repository. Upload resources that you want to make accessible to environment users in the CloudShare Viewer.
- External cloud resources. Use custom Terraform scripts to enable tight functional integration with external clouds. Add public, custom, and Marketplace AMIs.
- Cloud Folders. Move your local files (code, content, configurations and software) between your CloudShare VM and a local computer.
- Project Folders. Share files between project members and with all of the CloudShare VMs in your project.
