Changing a policy change takes effect immediately after clicking the Change Policy button.
A project manager can edit an existing policy, with the following limitations:
- The policy cannot currently be assigned to an active environment.
- If the policy is assigned to an environment, you can only change the value of the Inactivity Handling field. If the assigned environment is currently running, this change will be applied so that it will only extend the current inactivity time (meaning not shorten it). Any new environment or new instance will reflect the new Inactivity Handling time value specified in the change.
To change the policy of an existing environment:
- Create a new policy with the desired values.
- From the Environment Details page, select the Environment Details tab.
- Scroll down to the Policy field, as shown below:
Click the policy's name to open the Environment Policy Details page, as shown below:
- Modify the values as needed. The fields of this policy are described in Creating a New Policy.
