When a Visual AI Checkpoint has been defined for a Guided Journey section, participants see a Check button at the bottom of the Guided Journey section, as shown below:
After completing the section instructions, participants can click the Check button to indicate they are ready for CloudShare to verify they have achieved the expected VM state.
CloudShare captures the participant’s current VM screen and compares the previously marked areas on the participant’s VM screen against the previously uploaded reference screenshot.
Passed Checkpoint
If the marked areas match, the Checkpoint is marked Passed (green checkmark), and the participant should continue to the next section or chapter.
Failed Checkpoint
If the marked areas do not match, the Checkpoint is marked Failed.
Depending on how the Visual AI Checkpoint is defined, participants may be able to see a predefined textual hint or a marker indicating the area on the participant’s VM screen where the problem is.
They can then fix the VM’s state by following the Guided Journey instructions properly, so that the VM’s screen displays the correct information. They can then click the Check button again to recheck it.
A failed Checkpoint does not block progress, meaning that participants can continue to the next section at any time. Participants can check a section as many times as needed.
The following example shows a failed Checkpoint, which automatically displayed a hint that says, “Try again”.
The following shows a failed Checkpoint indicating the marked area where the discrepancy was detected between the participant’s VM screen and the reference image that was uploaded when the Visual AI Checkpoint was defined.
Note: A Checkpoint is associated with specific visual elements on a specific VM. Participants must be on the correct machine and screen for the Checkpoint to pass.
