Here's a quick overview of CloudShare's Solis AI Virtual Administrator Assistant user interface.
1 Solis Button
The Solis button opens the Solis pane. This button appears at the top of each CloudShare platform page, ready to help with the functionality it supports and according to the logged-in user's permissions. A contextual Create with Solis
button may also appear as a contextual action button on standard CloudShare pages when it can help with a specific task on that page.
2 Pane Controls
The pane controls let you start a new chat , expand the pane
, or close the pane
. Closing the pane does not start a new chat.
To begin a new conversation, use the new chat control.
Note: It is recommended to start a new chat when beginning an unrelated environment creation request. See Using the Solis AI Virtual Assistant for more information.
3 Project Selector
The project selector defines the project context for Solis. Prompt suggestions, answers, available blueprints, and values are based on the selected project.
Note: The Solis chat is scoped to the currently selected project. If you switch projects during a session, Solis starts the initial state for the newly selected project. If you switch back to a previous project, Solis can restore the previous session for that project for up to seven days from the last use.
4 Greeting and Current Capability Message
The greeting introduces Solis and explains the current supported actions. This message changes based on the type of assistance Solis can provide right now, which is determined by the CloudShare page in which the Solis button was clicked in the CloudShare user interface. In the example above, Solis is offering assistance in creating environments from predefined project blueprints.
5 Prompt Suggestions
Prompt suggestions provide quick ways to start a supported action. Clicking on a suggestion places the prompt in the input box, where the user can review or edit it before sending.
Hovering over a suggestion displays it in the input box, providing additional information about it. For example, as shown below:
6 Most Used / Recently Used Badges
Badges help identify commonly used suggested actions within the selected project. The Most Used and Recently Used badges are contextually sensitive and are based on usage by the current user and other users in the project.
7 Prompt Input Box
The prompt input box is where a user types or edits a request. For example, it can be used to create environments from predefined project blueprints. The user can describe the desired environment in plain language, select a suggestion and edit it, or ask Solis to change part of a proposed plan.
8 Send Button
The Send button sends the prompt to Solis to execute the action specified in the Solis pane. Alternatively, the Enter key can be pressed. Solis then analyzes the request and prepares a plan summary. Solis does not perform the requested action (such as creating an environment) until the user approves the plan.
9 AI Disclaimer
The AI disclaimer reminds the user that Solis is AI and can make mistakes. Review the plan summary carefully before creating an environment, such as the values for project, region, policy, blueprint, owner, and environment name.
